I have had a wonderful and fulfilling career as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist for over 30 years, during which time I worked in-depth with a wide range of clients, and supervised numerous other therapists. I have been a trainer, directing and teaching on a Masters’ programme in psychodynamic counselling for a number of years. I have also trained clinical supervisors at post-graduate level. My professional psychotherapy registration remains with UKCP, which is my regulating body. I am also still an active member of the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy a Member Organisation of UKCP.
However, it feels time to bring this period of my life to a close, and pursue my passion, which is yoga. I have been increasingly interested in the body-mind connection in the last 10 years of my clinical practice, and teaching yoga now feels like the natural step in my evolving journey. I completed a 2 year diploma Yoga Teacher Training Course (500 hours) at Mandala Yoga Ashram and now teach a beginners’ and refreshers’ yoga class in my village.
I am a member of the British Wheel of Yoga.
